In charge of the PRs of Avenir Telecom, Oxygen has driven a one-time operation for its brand Beewi, specialised in connected devices, to support it in making its participation in the 2014 CES, a success.

A great meeting of consumer electronics, an event out of the ordinary in terms of size and impact, the CES does the trends of high-tech consumption of tomorrow. Getting noticed by the media is the assurance of doing business.

The challenge

Unknown in the USA, Beewi counted on the CES to strengthen its presence on the american ground and tie up partnerships with local and international distributors.

But emerging among nearly 1000 participants more innovative than each other is a real challenge, it requires a perfect code knowledge of this extraordinary event. Beewi asked San Francisco’s Oxygen agency to support and ensure media coverage for its first participation.

Well in advance, the agency worked with Beewi to choose the products most likely to be of interest for american medias.

Simultaneously, the main editorial materials (press kit, press invitations, press releases…) were written then distributed in a timely manner. Present alongside Beewi throughout the entire event to make the interviews and encourage journalists to visit the stand, the agency has also created opportunities to meet up with famous journalists, out of the “traditional” event circuit, in order to emerge in a competitive environment and draw journalists awareness.

Some products were sent over to journalists that couldn’t get to Beewi’s stand in order to maximize the post-event benefits.
