In an international context marked by accelerating technological innovations in mobility, the Île-de-France Region aims to position itself as a leading territory in urban air mobility.

The challenge was twofold: to position Choose Paris Region as the driving force behind this momentum, while concretely showcasing the territory’s capacity for innovation and the cooperation between public and private stakeholders.

Position Choose Paris Region as the institutional leader in regional innovation

Highlight the Call for Expressions of Interest launched by the Region to develop the Urban Air Mobility sector

Showcase the project’s partnership ecosystem (ADP, RATP, Volocopter, etc.)

Make the event a major media moment for both French and international journalists

Oxygen designed and managed an event-driven PR strategy, built around an immersive day at the Pontoise site, featuring a prototype flying taxi demonstration by Volocopter.

The objective: to create a high-impact media event, reflecting the project’s ambitions and securing both national and international media coverage.

Dispositif

  • An immersive event in Pontoise to showcase regional ambition

    The agency designed an event-driven PR operation around a full-scale demonstrator with Volocopter, one of the world leaders in air taxis.

    • On-site press conference followed by demonstrations and press sessions

    • Presence of international media: NHK (Japan), ABC News (USA), Associated Press, etc.

    • Coordination of interviews, TV shoots, and photo sessions

  • A preview strategy to create a media event

    To maximize impact from the very first hours:

    • Negotiation of an exclusive radio scoop with RTL, broadcast on the morning of the event

    • Pre-event briefings with key journalists to prepare speaking engagements and help shape editorial angles

    • Provision of clear, accessible key messages, tailored to both mainstream and specialized media

  • A partnership-driven storytelling approach to highlight collective momentum

    • One of the key challenges: embodying innovation through successful cooperation between public and private players.

    • Highlighting the collective dimension in speeches and press materials: Choose Paris Region, Groupe ADP, RATP, Volocopter

    • Building a shared narrative around a common ambition: making Paris a global showcase for urban air mobility
